Guest guest
Hi Lori, How severe is Isabellas torticollis, and is she doing exercises to help relieve/loosen her muscles on the effected side? What was docs prognosis, and treatment plan for the torticollis? Did he do an MRI in the cervical area of her spine? Do you know if their are any structural abnormalities associated with her torticollis, or any other syndromes? Lori, I am no doc, but here is what I would do, Definately get a second, third, or even fourth opinion if you feel that you are getting no answers..I would absolutely get an appt. with the nearest Shriners..They are not regulated by HMO's, so I have found that their treatment of our children is far superior to most here in the states. Dont wait for them to schedule an appt for Isabel in 3 months..Gather her last x-ray and send it to them so they can see the gravity of this situation. ( to get an earlier appt) I would also insist on an MRI of the cervical area of her spine to rule out congenital or any structural abnormalities. Also get an entire x-ray of her spine, to see what area the scoliosis is in. Then they must take a Cobb angle degree measurment and possibly an RVAD. I have an informational video on early treatment with serial corrective plaster casts, and other pertinent info if you are interested. I can send the video/info for free..If its something you feel would benefit Isabel and would like to keep the video you can send me $17.50...If not, please send back so I can circulate it to other moms. Also, are you familiar with plagiocephaly, and did the doc ever mention Isabel having it? Let me know, Sincerely,
Guest guest
Hey , I deleted Lori's message but I thought that Isabella hadn't had an x-ray yet, am I wrong? Also Lori... also had mild Torticollis. Hmmm...that is interesting. Maybe I should do a poll about that! LOL
