OT: recommendation from the database...Ilene Rubowitz, MD

I read the database in search of a doctor/pediatrician for our baby that is due

any day. The

best and closest one I saw was Ilene Rubowitz at a clinic in Maple Grove. Does

anyone have

experience with her and could you please share that with me. I am looking for

someone

who shares our views, or at least is not hostile, of traditional, holistic,

natural healthcare.

Thanks for writing, I do know Ilene Rubowitz as a friend and we have had several

talks about

nutrition, child rearing and pediatric care. While she is NOT trained in any

alternative

modality, she is very concerned about many of the issues that our group

discusses, such as

vaccine, mercury, soy formula and so on. I think she is feeling her way out of

the fog of

medical school nutrition dogma and learning about traditional foods. Unlike some

of the

other alt med listings in our files (Hulin, Hruby and others) she probably

reaches for the

prescription pad when she sees an ear infection. She is, however, kind,

gentle, smart and

loves what she is doing.

I did learn the other day that she has taken more of a back room position in her

new job so

her client time has been restricted. She would be a good person to call for a

referral however.

When I see her I'll ask the same and modify her file accordingly.
