Guest guest
Recently I acquired a used competition Olympic set manufactured by Ivanko. Although the bearings seemed to be in very good condition, and the bar shows no signs of deformation, there are a few small areas of rust colored discoloration. I will be cleaning the bar and using " naval jelly " to remove any rust buildup, I am interested in restoring the black finish to the bar. My primary interest is to prevent any further rust accumulation. Does anyone know what process is used to achieve the coatings on quality bars?
