defrosted meat

Hi ,

Many years ago, before I knew anything about Weston A. Price, I opened my

freezer to find that all the meat had defrosted. I had both pork and beef and I

am sure it was not organic or grass fed, since I never knew anything about that.

I figured the beef would be ok to re-freeze but I did not trust the pork so I

used my oven at home and the one at work and made all kinds of dishes with pork.

I re-froze the beef and I never noticed a change in taste and we did not get

sick. The funny thing I remember about the whole thing was that I had several

packages of frozen bread in the freezer and not only did it defrost, but

it rose so high that when I opened the freezer, it looked as though I had huge

balloons coming at me. Most the bags tore and I had risen bread all over my

freezer. What an experience!! I still laugh at that one. Good luck on your

meat. I would not assume to give you advice on what to do, but if it were me, I

would take some hamburger, make a pattie, try a little bit of it and if I felt

fine, I would eat more and if I still felt fine, I would re-freeze the entire

beef. I once ate a couple bites of some food that was definitely poisoned.

That day I had diarrhea and an upset stomach, nothing more. Thank goodness the

rest of my family did not eat any of it. We left for Florida the same day,

drove all the way there. Not good timing!! Jane
