Guest guest
Fiber One ... 1/2 cup = 60 calories/24 grams of carbs of which 14 grams are fiber!! No sugar (I add Splenda) and a bit twiggy crunchy ... There's also a really good organic flax cereal (dont have the box at the moment to recount the stats)flakes with blueberries in it with about the same amount of fiber ..tastier too ...can be found in healthfood section of grocery store or at Costco as well ... <<joni>> *who has been known to add cheerios to cottage cheese too*
Guest guest
I really like Optimum Slim -- it's a little high in sugar (10 g) but it's got 11 g fiber and it tastes really good. Plus it's got 9 g protein so that helps balance out all of the carbs. > Can anyone reccomend a cold cereal to mix with cottage cheese? ... it's > my first time ... > I've read where it's best to use a high fiber cereal and was looking for > some reccomendations. > > Thanks! > > -- > |Demoness Abigor|net.goth|The Pinkest Deceptagon in da world! > |AIM|AbigorBot| > |Josh: you mentioned Transformers! and didn't use the words " are lame " in the same sentence! you are my dream girl! > |Hedwig: " I'd like to share with you a bedtime story that mother once whispered to me in the dark and later retracted. Guest guest
I've recently tried sprinkling some All-Bran on my cottage cheese and blueberries (along with Splenda) and it added a very nice flavor and crunch to it. The All-Bran by itself is pretty good in milk with some splenda. Re: Cold cereals > Fiber One ... 1/2 cup = 60 calories/24 grams of carbs of which 14 > grams are fiber!! Guest guest
I think that cereal is called Optimum. At least I have one that has Flax and Blueberries in it that's called that. It's yummy! The company makes several other blends too. _________________ " Whatever women must do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult. Guest guest
I really like some of the Kashi cereals. My fav is the Good Friends Cinna-Raisen Crunch. A serving has 10g of fiber. I usually half a serving, though. Go Lean Crunch is also good, with 8g fiber. Both also have some protein, as well. I put on top of my cottage cheese, add a little Splenda, and put a scant 1/4 cup skim milk over. Yum, I'm eating some right now! Oh, and sometimes I sprinkle some All Bran on top for a little extra fiber.
