Wisconsin Crab Apples

Hi All,

I was lucky enough to come upon a windfall of crab apples while on a hike at

a friend's cabin in Wisconsin this weekend. I picked a couple of buckets (now I

wish I had more as they are delicious just raw). Any ideas on what best to do

with my precious store? Pie, sauce, butter, jelly? I think the easiest and least

waste the better.

P.S. This gift of nature helped take the sting out of being bitten in the face

another friend's dog on the same trip.
