Guest guest
This is as good a time as any, so I'm reposting the following info for those who missed the original posting I made back in October. ~Joe *snip* I'm very pleased to announce that Traditional Foods of Minnesota has reserved time and space for the 1st swap of 2007! It will be at the Oliver Kelley Farm on Saturday, April 7th, 2007, from 11am - 3pm, with a speaker (at this time, likely to be Beth, one of our list members who graciously offered to present). The Farm is on Highway 10, just north of Anoka, easily reached by the highway from north or south, with ample parking. So please mark your calendar now and plan to attend. I will be asking various farmers and producers to consider attending as well. They have an auditorium, tables, chairs, and food is more than welcome. I think we'll be an interesting experience for the staff there! ) The Kelley Farm is a very appropriate place for a swap due to their focus on historical farming practices. There is a remnant prairie there as well as a few barns, a chicken coop, cows, pigs, sheep and horses. Keep in the mind that the Farm is not officially open for tours until after Memorial Day, so we can't get a formal tour, but we're welcome to take a walk around and see what there is to be seen. Hard to say what the weather will be doing at that time, so be prepared for either 75 degrees or subzero! More details as I know them. ~Joe
