Guest guest
Are your eyes affected by your thyroid? Do we have an update of your story with exactly what BP meds you are on, what your BP and K are doing. I will not be to CA or NV till later this fall and even then may not do a practice due to malpractice and liscensing costs. Guest guest
I've been on T4 since 1994. My FT3 is always low but when I try to take a little Armour (that has T3 in it), my K drops and blood pressure shoots up. Now, since being on spiro, I've been on 1/4 grain Armour + 75 mcg T4 for about three months and have been able to tolerate it. I haven't had any thyroid tests since but am curious to see what's happening. Easter Sunday, I had 15 spaces filled at my dining room table. I was feeling great and thinking that I'm almost normal again. Then, starting about three days ago, I've been " brittle " again. Brittle feels like a constant adrenaline fright. I cannot connect these " episode " relapses to anything. While I was taking care of MIL, I ate too much salt. My BP went up a little but I felt no brittle. Now, its back. It comes back about every 4 or 5 weeks and then goes after about a week. Frustrated. Guest guest
Hello My eyes are misserable again since I had to cut my thyroid medicine. I am now back to 50mcg from 62mcg. 12 mcg sure did make a difference. Present drugs are spiro 150mg twice a day 5mg Benazpril daily 2/12 mg norvasic daily 50mcg synthroid daily 10/10 vitorin daily Atenolol 50mg daily AVS in 06, punctured my vein, no samples. 07 You refered me to a dr. at San Francisco GEneral. He would not even see me and said I would be making a wasted trip. Typical Endo Response. 07 Then you referred me to a real nice Dr. in Sacramento but he was retired. Since then I have seen two incompedent Endos at UCD in Sac.July 08 the latest One told me to stop taking atenolol, benazpril, and norvasic when I told him things has taken a turn for the worse.I was so hypothyroid, and low on B12 it was not funnny. I found this out 3 months later after requesting labs at Primary care. Do you see how hopeless it is out here? They want me to stop taking Spiro and do AVS which I know would probably kill me. ita > > > > > > > Dr. GRim > > I have been waiting and hoping since 06 to see you. Guest guest
Hi Arthur That is exactly what I have. And no Endos except a very few will even take it, as Callifornia is known for not paying its bills. So I am looking at Cash now as it is my last resort and even that probably wont work. Maybe I am now ammuned to the spiro. I really do feel like a time bomb since nothing seems to be working any more. ita > > > > > > ita, I so feel for you.
