Guest guest
Hello everyone, I do agree with Stasia that most people do not need anything more than coffee and creatine (fyi, I use creatine mainly to help with muscle recovery). I also believe that thermogenics have their place depending on what an individual's goals are . I personally use them because I am heading back down my chosen path of competing in bodybuilding. I however do not use them year round and do cycle off of them. They are just a part of the program that my trainer and I came up with. But alas, there is still great debate over the usage of all the little extras...I think there always will be. Probably the best thing to do is read everything you can and decide if it is something you really want to get involved with. Another thing, they have been known to make some people ill, and it is an extra added expense. Just something to think about. Thanks for letting me share my opinion, Shauntel > Hi guys > > I've noticed a lot of talk lately about thermogenics. I usually start > my day off with 2 cups of black coffee. Guest guest
Shauntel, What are you taking? I'm doing a figure competition at the end of August and just today I started thinking about doing this just for a little while. I just cannot seem to loose this last bit of bf%. I'm still eating a really clean BFL diet, and my trainer said stick with it (yea! something I'm already good at!!!) but he's not into any kind of supplement, other than creatine. Which seems to work very well. Is anybody taking Thermodynamx? ---Mandi I do agree with Stasia that most people do not need anything more > than coffee and creatine (fyi, I use creatine mainly to help with > muscle recovery). Guest guest
Mandi, That is sooo cool. I take xenadrine as it is a little cheaper than the EAS stuff. Please keep me updated as to the outcome of your competition. How exciting. I was about a month away from my first competition when I found out I was pregnant. Needless to say that goal got put on hold for a little while. I am back at my training and hope to compete sometime next year. Best of Luck, Shauntel > Shauntel, > What are you taking? Guest guest
Thanks so much Shauntel! I'm really excited. I'll post a pic here afterwards. I totally credit BFL with getting me into shape and motivating me to keep setting goals...Sorry , I know you hate goals Good luck to you Shauntel, especially since you are getting back to your original goal! You go girl! ----Mandi > > That is sooo cool. I take xenadrine as it is a little cheaper than > the EAS stuff. Please keep me updated as to the outcome of your > competition. How exciting. Guest guest
<<I also believe that thermogenics have their place depending on what an individual's goals are>> I think thermogenics can have a place in someones supplement regime *if* they know what they realistically can & cannot do for you - also that for some people they just dont 'do' anything except give them heart palpitations to the emergency room (points finger at renee)... soooo its kind of a personal choice on how your body handles them. Be selective and knowledgable about whats in the product BEFORE you consider purchasing it. I would say the ONLY 'benefits' (if you want to call them that) of any thermogenic (be it the beforebanned ephedra or the other combo replacements they have come up with since) is that it MIGHT give you an increase in energy to give yourself an extra push to workout better - or wakeup in the morning to workout like me! coffee no longer wakes me up at all these days - and a maybe a bit of an appetite suppressant ... Recommendations er sort of ...well even the OneADay WeightSmart vitamins have green tea in them for a boost..ThermoDynamix has ALOT of caffeine in them (green tea {caffeine}mate{more caffeine} and caffeine listed as an ingredient plus citrus aurantium (synephrine) no big deal, nothing spectacular or interesting over any of the other marketin hyped products out there ... now for interesting are the ingredients in TrimSpa (babe!) of course it has green tea but of more interest is the addition of insulin resistance substances like glucosamine, chromium, and glucomannen(which I find interesting having done alot of reading lately on syndrome x etc) and a range of appetite suppressors - interested me enough to try a bottle and order a second anyways ;-) http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/na/trimef.html <<joni>> *The trouble with aging is that by the time you finally know your way around, you don't feel like going* ;-) *
