Guest guest
Shouldn't do, unless you have joint problems that can't take that exercise on top of your BFL cardio. Sounds like a great idea actually, and all exercise has benefits. You may also find that the early walking will help to get your muscles nicely warmed up and help with aches and pains. ~Jena At 09:10 PM 6/15/2004, you wrote: >I just can't force myself to do cardio or weights early am but I'm >willing to walk. Guest guest
You can walk as much as you want. It will help. I walk 45 minutes to an hour every morning, not as part of some fat burning effort, but mainly because I enjoy it and my dogs are insane. The more active you are throughout the day, the easier it is to create a calorie deficit and reach your goals. If you're walking at 5am. Be sure to get in a meal or two a couple of hours before the real workout at 11. Walking early AM instead of workouts I just can't force myself to do cardio or weights early am but I'm willing to walk. My husbands runs every morning and I could leave out with him. If I walk casually early mornings will that have benefits? I plan to still do my cardio and HIIT during the week but not until around 11 am. Will the 30-45 minutes of casual walking around 5am hurt anything.
Guest guest
I just wanted to add that if you're walking at 5am, be careful... (carry pepper spray?) not just of potential criminals, but stray animals too. ~Lydia Re: Walking early AM instead of workouts You can walk as much as you want. It will help. Guest guest
Not to mention getting all that fresh air so early in the morning is very invigorating. I love it. > You can walk as much as you want. It will help. I walk 45 minutes to an hour every morning, not as part of some fat burning effort, but mainly because I enjoy it and my dogs are insane. Guest guest
It is legal in some places. I got my pepper spray from a police shop. I would also recommend practicing with your spray...you want to be able to use it without having to think about it. One of the most common problems with the use of pepper spray is accidentally spraying yourself. Practicing can help prevent this. Hope this helps, Shauntel > > I just wanted to add that if you're walking at 5am, be careful... > (carry > > pepper spray?) not just of potential criminals, but stray animals > too. > > ~Lydia > > > > Re: Walking early AM instead > of > > workouts > > > > You can walk as much as you want. Another thing to consider is to vary your route so you are not taking the same path every day. I used to jog early mornings with my first Dobe and we took a different path each day just in case anyone was watching me, i didn't want them to know a " set routine " . I also carried pepper spray but it was a gift so I don't know where they got it. Colleen
Guest guest
I'm sure pepper spray is legal for self-defense... but to be sure... you might want to check the laws where you live, and maybe ask someone at the local police department what their recommendations are. Guest guest
I used to jog at that hour... and loved smelling the breakfast cooking in various households I passed along the way. The air IS different after the dew has washed it clean! Re: Walking early AM instead of workouts Not to mention getting all that fresh air so early in the morning is very invigorating. Guest guest
I know its legal in RI. I had a thing of it in my glove compartment for when I go walking at night. My bf had never seen it before and thought it was a lighter! (I used to smoke) So, he tried to " light " it...after it hit me in the face, it hit the girl at the Dunkin Donuts drive thru (we WERE getting coffee) and was able to sting the eyes of several other people in the immediate area. The police came and it took a short while to explain to them WHY it happened and that it was not a love triangle-which is what they thought it was when the call came over the radio. My dog was hysterical and trying to bite the cop (he was in the back of the Jeep)-it wasn't funny at the time, but now whenever we drive by that donut shop (which I have NEVER returned to) I tell my bf to stay out of my glove compartment! So, if you are going to have it, make SURE you know how to use it properly. My eyes stung SO bad for HOURS afterward as well as the skin on my face, hands, neck, chest and even my scalp! > The repleis on walking for helpful. Thanks ladies.
