Guest guest
Val I've just decided to give this up as a bad joke. The process is taking too long and I can't go on like this. I've started back on 25mg spiro and will gradually increase it as my body tells me. I'll go to my GP and get regular tests to monitor potassium levels. In the process I'll probably sully my relationship with the Greenslopes " experts " , but this is so much more than hypertension and potassium levels, in my view. I want to live, not just survive. I really appreciate your thoughtful contributions here, Val. Guest guest
Carol, that's too bad. I was on 150 mg spiro before I went on my break, and am now on 100 mg spiro. I buy it on the internet to make sure I always have an adequate supply. If you're going to increase dose, I suggest you increase until you feel well and your blood pressure is good. I am having occasional good moments. Last night I danced - for the first time in twenty years. Guest guest
Also tell your Dr what you are doing and why. Track your BP and body symptoms so you can show your Dr. (and us) and remember that DASHing will minimize the need for meds.
