Guest guest
Dear Senate, Wednesday's Guardian flagged up three separate areas that may interest members: 1) This autumn PPP Healthcare Medical Trust will offer new research training opportunities for nurses, midwives, health visitors and allied health professionals through Fellowships (for individuals) and Partnership awards (for universities). No advert yet for applications, but worth planning bids ahead if you are interested ! 2) The European Refugee Fund have again given millions of euros to the Home Office, who way they will spend up to 25% on projects around reception and integration of refugees (the rest will go on booting them out of the country a.k.a. 'repatriation'). The requirement for innovative HV or SN proposals is that they bring some matched funding from other sources (perhaps PMS would be a potential health service source ?). Queries marked 'ERF project guidelines' should go to either stephen.mccracken@... or ian.barton@... 3) The NHS Executive London are offering 2 more fully-funded (inc. 26K salary & the St. 's masters course & a choice of training attachments around London) training places in Multidisciplinary Public Health. Requests for forms quoting reference PHT to BEH health authority on 020 8272 5723, informal enquiries to Enoch on 020 8966 1093. Good luck, Woody.
