Guest guest
Dear group, I was wondering if some of you could share your indications and contraindications for the use of supersets in your training programs. Two different exercises for the same muscle same day, especially supersets make results less measurable and conclusive. _______________________________________________________________ Kazimir Majorinc, dipl. ing. mathematics, prof. collaborator Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Uni of Zagreb Marulicev trg 19/III., HR-10000 Zagreb, p.o.box 163., Croatia Tel.: 385-(0)1-48 28 298, Fax: 385-(0)1-48 29 958 mailto:kmajor@... http://public.srce.hr/~kmajor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ M E R C Y O F C H A O S

According to Weider terms, a superset consists of two exercises performed back to back for opposing muscle groups (e.g., standing curls and pushdowns). When you perform two different exercises back to back for the same muscle group (e.g., standing curls and concentration curls), you're performing a compound set. Dan Wagman, Ph.D., C.S.C.S. If we're sticking to the Weider bodybuilding terminology, there's no specific term for that combination but seems to fall most closely in line with supersets. Dan Wagman, Ph.D., C.S.C.S.
