better.

***** I think you need to reread the Body for Kife book, so that you can

get a better understanding of how the exercise and nutritional program work. I

think you would feel much better if you followed the book to a tee.

Pam, I am SO glad to see you aren't " as " disgusted now! At the VERY

least, know that you are NOT alone-we are all out here, some crying

and being aggravated, but we come in here and we feel better.

CONGRATULATIONS on walking that dog! Great move!

Do you have the BFL book? Have you read it? I hope you have or will

soon (like tonight :) )

When I first started this, I thought I'd starve at the thought of

say, one yogurt and a 1/2 cup of cc. I couldn't even stand the

thought of it, so I put the book away and thought " not for me! " and I

probably ate a pizza while I cried. Then, I got a bit fatter around

the middle and picked the book up again a few months later. I also

found this group. I was AMAZED at the number of women who were

eating this way! And working out! , she is in here, worked

out at 5am and I couldn't believe how she could not only GET UP at

that hour, but RUN for 20 minutes! It took me about a month to

fathom that idea and decide that I could do it too (and I do now).

About the food? The only way I got myself to stick with it was by

coming in here, and reminding myself that I only had to wait 2 hours

and then I could eat again. I now plan all 6 meals ahead of time

(most of the time) and I know what I'll be eating and when. I also

don't eat anything that I don't like. If your sick of salad, don't

eat it! THere are a TON of foods to choose from! Change it up

everyday-this is for life. I also drown myself in water. I drink a

gallon during my workday, and if I don't, I don't allow myself coffee

the next morning. (and I LOVE my coffee).

The program is a sacrifice to our old lifestyle, but they weren't

good for us anyway. I can either sit and cry and eat pizza, or see

the light at the end of the 12 weeks that I will be healthier,

stronger, and leaner. Good luck! Keep posting!

What a great attitude, ! Thanks for the mention, too! Sometimes it's

just keeping up with people's perception of you that keeps you going...

Thanks! If it weren't for you starting up again, I would probably be

switching from Atkins to South Beach to WW and gaining fat every step

of the way! gina

I think the best tip I've ever heard as far as eating bad foods goes,

is that if you're going to do it, really enjoy it. If you're having

ice cream or pizza or whatever, enjoy every single bite. If with

every bite you're thinking, " I shouldn't be doing this " or " This will

go straight to my hips " or whatever, then put it away. How can you

even enjoy the bad food if you're feeling so guilty? And if you're

not enjoying ice cream, what's the point of eating it? It doesn't

work every single time for me (a self-diagnosed emotional eater,) but

it helps.
