Guest guest
I followed up on that article Will posted earlier, featuring Nina Planck. It's ironic, but in the picture of Nina herself, I can see echoes of the photographs that Dr. Price published of children whose parents abandoned their traditional diets in favor of western foods of commerce. We know weight, cardiovascular health and other things can be improved by turning to the trad diets. I wonder, though, if the trad diet can soften some of the worst effects of white flour, sugar, oils, etc. on the more " pre-set " characteristics like our bone structure and dental structure that was damaged by our parents' unwitting use of western food. ~Joe

" I hope so Joe. I am a prime example of what the " western foods " can do to teeth. My parents did no research about eating healthy when I was a kid and refuse to listen to anything I say now (can you sense my resentment ?) and my baby teeth were rotten. Not just a little bit either. Every single baby tooth I had was black. I was one of those kids that would never smile because of my teeth. We (my husband and I) are trying to break the cycle and strictly limit any of the western foods that destroyed my teeth. Also, every time fluoride is discussed I just roll my eyes knowing that " IT DOESN'T WORK! " Because we live in rural MN, my pediatrician tried giving me fluoride drops for my kids but I'm steering clear of that too. Here's hoping that what you said is true about our " parents' unwitting use of western food. " Thanks for priming the pump to help me deal with my resentment hee hee:) Tifanie S.
