Hey guys. I was just wondering how effective rollerskating would be

for cardio? or should i just used as my extra fun stuff? i'm

trying to find some fun form of cardio for now. We are moving and

my hubby packed up my BFL stuff. Not doing any challenge right now,

but as soon as we are moved and unpacked i'm gonna start. Still

trying to motivate myself. I tested my bodyfat today for the first

time since i went to boot camp 11 yrs ago. :o yeah, that was real

motivation. Anyway, what do you guys think of skating?

Thanks

I love to rollerskate. LOVE IT!!!

Artistic Quads ... a wooden floor ... some upbeat music ... that's heaven.

No rink here. *sigh*

To respond to the question, however, I don't know if a person can reach the

intensity levels needed by HIIT and stay safe on the floor. My experience has

been that roller skating builds my endurance, but I don't think I could hit the

intensity levels needed without my legs going to jelly and me wiping the floor

with various body parts. That's the sort of pain after exercise I could do

without.

yay for rollerskating!

I've actually found that if you pick the right song DDR or DDR MAX can

get really close to what HIIT can be.

---Skating would be awesomeness workout! I know how bad my legs hurt

after that. I think you could get some real good intensity going

there. I say have at it! you really can do whatever with those

intervals. anything works as long as you are getting that great

workout!
