Guest guest
I haven't actually done Tom's " Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle " but I read it and enjoyed it. It's based on a lot of the same principles as BFL. If you've done a lot of reading on bodybuilding and nutrition, it's all going to sound mighty familiar. Although, sometimes I'll have a real light bulb moment when I hear familiar information presented in a new way. Like it will finally actually penetrate my thick skull and I'll be able to do something useful with it. I can tell you that the recommendations are based on your body type and goals rather than everybody getting exactly the same program. It's sound bodybuilding nutrition and workouts, nothing gimmicky, and it's very compatible with BFL. I'd go ahead and check it out if you're looking for some new ideas or some custom tweaks for your next challenge. Ready for Challenge #2 Hi all - It feels like an eternity since I last posted but I have been up to date with the happenings of this awesome group. Well, I finished Challenge #1 (the last 2 weeks were the hardest because of my bday and other social events). But I lost 15 pounds - 10 pounds less than my goal. I never measured my body but I know that I have lost 2 pant sizes. I went from a size 20 to a size 18 to a size 16. So I am not totally dissapointed but I am not thrilled that I only lost 15 pounds. So as I conjure up the motivation to begin Challenge #2, I have a question for anyone on BFFM or anyone that has tried it. Tom Venuto markets the program as " the next step " for BFLers. I am debating whether or not to purchase his books and start something new. See my problem is that I get bored very easily and I think one of the reasons why I started off strong with BFL was because it was new. So first, can anyone advise me on whether or not it may be worth it to switch to BFFM or should I stick with BFL for round 2? If your opinion is to stick with BFL, what are some of the things I can do to challenge myself or to make this program " new " again. I get excited by newness and challenge. I need motivation! This time I really want to hit my goal of losing 30lbs! Help!!! Celines
Guest guest
Sqwigg, Thanks for your reply. I will probably take a look at the BFFM but I still feel that I could have a more successful BFL Challenge #2. Does anyone elese have any advice on how to make a 2nd challenge new and exciting? Thanks! Celines > Hi all - > It feels like an eternity since I last posted but I have been up to > date with the happenings of this awesome group. Guest guest
a 15 pound loss is great. I lost 12 pounds ( scale pounds that is) on my 1st challenge. But even losing that little amount made a big difference in how I looked. My pics are over in the photos section under " shonda's " . Now, if only I stilled looked like that. Good luck on challenge #2! Shonda > Hi all - > It feels like an eternity since I last posted but I have been up to > date with the happenings of this awesome group.
