Guest guest
so, i'm really pmsing and all i could think about today was a diet coke and sun chips when i got home, so that's exactly what i did. but, anyways, i have some things that i was wondering about... 1) i am REALLY good about the work outs, i know that i'm getting stronger and i love it, BUT.... i'm really NOT good at the eating. now, i'm not horrible, here is a typical day for me: 1: carb sense myoplex shake 2: protein bar 3: turkey sandwich w/ just half of the bread w/ no fat honey mustard, spinach, pickles and black olives 4: protein bar 5: chicken breast with one cup mac n cheese 6: sometimes a shake, sometimes nothing also, i drink about a gallon of water a day. so, my question is, as i continue to gain muscle and my muscle continues to need more calories to operate, will i eventually lose the weight, just not as fast as i would strictly eating BFL? 2) i always compare myself to other women (it is a woman's perogative, you know) and i was just wondering what you guys are lifting (in lbs.)? sorry, for the looooong post, as i said i'm pmsing.... alicia
Guest guest
The food carries most of the influence as far as awesome success and barely noticeable progress. There is really no way around eating clean if you want really good results and your average pound a week fat loss. Ditch the macaroni and cheese. The sun chips are terrible, save them for free day only, and put some real food in there instead of all those bars and shakes. Everyone's poundage is going to differ. The main idea in muscle gain is progressive overload. Add more weight every time something becomes easy completing the sets. Progressive overload can also be done by slowing down your cadence as well. A two count lift and a three count lower will kill your muscles without having to do many reps. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hmmmm ... I see no real vegetables(pickles dont count!)nor fruits, nor dairy products... I think you need to include all of these.. try to do without the bars if at all possible (processed glycerine).. substitute some cottage cheese & fruit or at least have a piece of fruit or some carrot sticks with that high protein bar for variety sake ... do the raylene jello, or with protein fatfree pudding if you dont like jello.. add in some eggs! oatmeal! Yeah for variety! This isnt a DIE-ET! its your body... for life!!!! <<deep breaths..ok.. calm donw now >> ;-) Fruits and vegetables have fiber ... want to lose bodyfat? Eat more fiber ...its the secret fatloss weapon most people just dont get enough of ... aim for at least 30 grams a day ... In a study of two groups of people(get this), same diet with same amount of calories, same exercise routine etc... BUT one group had dairy products (calcium source) while the other group didnt and altho they both lost about the same amount of scaleweight, the calcium group lost MORE bodyfat than the other group! Food for thought? ;-) Think you need to reevaluate your eating strategy eh? <<joni>> *Its true you don't know what youve got till its gone, but its also true that you don't know what you've been missing until it arrives*

I think they even had a group use supplements as opposed to real food and the biggest difference was with the people using real food as opposed to supplements. If I am not mistaken, milk is the best way to get the calcium.
