I'm not Joni and I don't use Myoplex, but I have a few recipes that

are good with a plain or vanilla protein powder. The one I use has

virtually no carbs, so I use milk to mix, but if you normally use

water that would probably work fine with these ideas. Anyway, add to

the powder & liquid in the blender:

Banana-Lime-Mint: 1/2 large banana, a squeeze of fresh lime juice and

some fresh mint (you can use dried mint, but then it needs to

" marinate " a bit), Splenda

Canteloupe-Ginger: About 1/2 cup of cubed canteloupe and 1/8 tsp

powdered ginger, sweeten with Splenda

Strawberry-Almond-Mint: About 5 strawberries (I usually use frozen),

mint, and sweeten with DaVinci Sugar Free Almond syrup. You will

swear you're sitting in the breeze in North Africa listening to the

trickle of a Moorish fountain.

Peach Cobbler: Frozen peaches, cinnamon, DaVinci Vanilla syrup

You just made me realize that I used to have tons more shake recipes

in a 'stuff' folder on my desktop - but my harddrive died about a

week ago and I lost ALOT of stuff on my computer - gone but not

totally forgotten!

One of my fave protein powders is Natures Best Isopure Locarb

Chocolate - I mix a scoop of that with a cup of cold skim milk, some

ice, lefover cold coffee(or use some instant coffee w/hot water to

dissolve it), whirrrr it up and add in some fatfree hazlenut coffee

creamer - better than a mocha from Starbucks - well nearly and alot

less calories! ;-)

I have those myoplex ones you mentioned on my website in the recipe

section - you can just use a good protein powder of whatever flavor

to replace it I found in most cases:

http://www.geocities.com/jgrrl2/shakeit.html

Check out your baking section, seasoning section in your grocery

store - I have used lemon, vanilla, cherry, maple, and or mint

flavorings in shakes.

I got a few more good ideas from this site:

http://www.physicalenhancement.com/store/article.php?articleID=50

And the 24hr Fitness site also has some good recipes to leave you

drooling over:

http://www.24hourfitness.com/html/nutrition/recipes/beverage/

Hope that gives you some ideas!

Oh boy - Joni - I tried your Starbucks-like recipe below last night for my

last meal and yummmmm! It didn't quite get a shake consistency, but it made

a very good frothy drink. It's the fat free hazlenut creamer that added

just the right touch!

Thanks!
