Guest guest
Speaking of allergies. I got a cortisone injection in my knee yesterday. By 10 p.m. I was getting really hyper. I didn't sleep all night. This morning my BP had gone up to 170/95 with a heart rate of 118. I was having muscle spasms all over my torso, and down my left shoulder and arm. I went to the ER, suspecting low potassium but it was 4.4. BP and heart rate went even higher at first. They could only conclude that the cortisone somehow caused the reaction. My heart enzyme was negative for heart attack. They gave me muscle relaxers and Benedryl. My face/neck were bright red and swollen. Finally, this afternoon, I slept. My orthopod said he had not seen that but he's not seen a PA person before either. So, the " brittle " I was feeling yesterday afternoon was a cortisone reaction.
