Don't feel bad... at least you made a decent choice. Since I " fell off the

wagon " hard this week I had a night where I started eating whatever I could

find. It's a vicious cycle. I want more and more but I'm not really enjoying

it. I ended up eating those pastel sugary conversation hearts from Valentine's

day. How desperate is that? The kids don't even like those! At least I

didn't break into the baby food fruit which is something I have done in the

past.

So how wacky do you all think I am now?

I have always had wicked sugar cravings, turns out I have PCOS.

hehe... so how does that relate? With PCOS often comes insulin

resistance.

The ONLY thing I have ever found that controls the sugar cravings is

having an equal amount of protein/carbs in each sitting. So if I

have a chocolate bar, I have some protein with it. It works!

Now someone else (I can't remember who to give credit) suggested

cutting up a protein bar into little squares, popping them into a

ziploc then into the freezer. They're like hard caramels! When I

fancy something sweet I eat 1-2 of those. Also there are the " fool

yourself cookies " - they're great, and available for download in this

group. I found that they freeze perfectly, so you can make them in

advance.

TOO FUNNY!!!!

Last night I picked out and ate all of the nuts out of a banana nut

muffin that I was feeding to my daughter.

I also snuck about 10 bites of her Cheerios and whole milk (whole

milk is so delicious :))

Sometimes what I'll do when I'm trying not to totally blow my day is

opt for some sugar free jello. Believe me, I've never thought of

jello as a " dessert, " but sometimes it can help curb that craving.
