Guest guest
To start with I think weighing myself daily was bad for me, it got me really down. One week I was so depressed about it I posted in here. The ladies went through the usual story of where you should be looking for results, like how you feel, measurements, clothing etc - and I realised scale weight has little to do with fat loss! Anyway, I now weigh myself every day, and write it in my journal. I can hear you all booing and hissing at me for saying that in here!! But the reason I do it is because it actually HELPS me realise scale weight is nothing. Over the months I've come up with a really interesting pattern. Every month I will have almost an identical weight loss on the corresponding day from the month before. Like last week was the 2nd week of my cycle, and I stayed exactly the same weight as the week before. This week I expect to drop slightly, then next week I expect to drop quite significantly. It has taught me that weight really is partly about water retention, and I find it fascinating. I used to be a data analyst making graphs all day for a living, so I can't seem to help myself gathering this data to plot into a chart when I'm done :-) Anyway, my point is that even if I tried really really hard last week, I doubt I would have made much progress on the scale. So try and remember that if you are one of the naughty people like me who are always jumping on the scales. Do NOT let it get you down, it's just one (fairly inaccurate) way of measuring your progess - there are plenty of other better ways of doing it. in NZ C1W11D5 > Hey there! Guest guest
Hi , I am new here and going through some of the older emails. I want to thank you for this one, because today is my measuring/weigh-in day, and I gained weight AND inches this week. I wanted to cry. Especially because after I measured/weighed, I still had to do cardio. Oh, the agony. HA! But after reading your post, I feel much better. My clothes are starting to feel loser, and some friends have said they can see changes in me. So I'm just gonna keep on keepin' on, and try to forget the numbers. Thanks again!
