drink water.

Preferably before this happens.

When sweating stops you can die in an hour or so from heat stroke if

it is hot.

I've been wondering lately if I'm dehydrated because my urine's a little

dark. If I drink any more than about 50 oz/day, I'm up and down all night.

Even on 50 oz, I'm up once or twice anyway. I'm on 150 mg of spiro and my

bp is running 120/75.

I get a headache and stop perspiring when I'm dehydrated.

Dr. Grim,

What is the recommended treatment protocol for this condition? Is it

in one of your papers?

Thanks,

Mike

I would let thirst drive my drinking (water etc).

50 oz is a lot a day.

How many quarts is that.

The purpose of the kidney is to excrete a concentrated urine.

Gee, that's good. I always thought I wasn't drinking enough water. I guess

I've had unconcentrated urine for so long I don't know what normal is. 50

oz = about 1.56 qts. = 1.48 liter

Given all the reading I've done, I don't think anyone can accurately look at

CT results and conclude much about PA. If you are over 40, it is very

likely you have benign lumps and bumps on your adrenals. The only way to

tell if one or both adrenals is over-producing is to get AVS. I think

someone should test you for GRA.

After Dr Ball looked at my CT scan from last year he called me and gave his

opinion that

with both glands affected that the AVS isn't worth the trouble. Keep in mind

that my bp

on Spiro has settled to around 110/60. I just have many side effects.

I do have a family history of Adrenal problems. In the 1970's, my Dad had

adrenal

problems. I was very young at the time. My Mom used to say that he had

's and I

do remember that he took Cortisone pills. I did find out from one of my

older siblings

that he also took spiro. Is it possible that PA was teated with Cortisone in

addition to

spiro?? He had a massive heart attack at 48 and had another in his 50's. It

was after the

second that they said he had adrenal issues. He died in 1984 at age 65 from

congestive

heart failure.

deoderant stops under arms not elsewhere. If you get hot you need to

sweat.
