Guest guest
Sorry I won't be at Harrogate but am intending getting to the debate. I hope that seminar goes well. Guest guest
Getting back to the ESRC research seminar competitive tender: 1. Reminder, that this is about a call for bids from the Economic and Social Research Council, who are offering up to £12,000 over 2 years to fund research seminar groups. 2. Many thanks to those of you who met in Harrogate to comment on the rough first draft that I sent for discussion. Special thanks to Ros Bryar, for collating the comments and sending them on to me; extremely useful. 3. I just realised that, beyond a vague mention (see old message below) I had not forwarded any details of where/when to meet to follow up those discussions and push forward the proposal. I hope I might have time to give a bit more thought to it between now and then (although I have this little matter of a debate to prepare!) . It would be very useful to have some further discussion on Thursday afternoon if anyone who is coming for the debate can get to London a bit early. I have booked Room 3.26a Clerk Maxwell Building, KCL, 57 Waterloo Road, from 3 to 5pm 16th November, and hope some people will be able to attend to join in the discussion before we leave to have a break and get to UCLs anatomy theatre. Clerk Maxwell Building is on the corner of Stamford Street and Waterloo Road just before Waterloo Road becomes Waterloo Bridge Road across the Thames. Nearest mainline and underground is Waterloo (about 5-10 minutes walk). At that junction, there is a large IMAX cinema in the middle of a roundabout; it is at the centre of a subway maze under the road. Leave Waterloo Station by Exit 5 and follow the steps down into the subway, until you reach the cinema (which is well signposted). Keep the cinema on your left ; once you have walked past it, take the first set of steps up to the road. You will see Clerk Maxwell Building straight in front of you. Best wishes Cowley wrote: > I attach a very rough first stab at the ESRC seminar group proposal. Guest guest
Well, congratulations Marjorie! You and June will be able to swap 'granny's tales' and frighten the life out of the health visitors that visit your babies. Thank you for the timely reminder that we must finalise the ESRC research seminar proposal this week; it is due inon Monday. Only Kelsey made it to the 'pre-debate' meeting to discuss, so we did have a bit of a chance to go over what is needed. Any last thoughts or offers of help welcome. Guest guest
- is there anything you can do to stop me getting 2 of every message? While it helps if I delete something by mistake I could do without it. I think I may be registerd twice. Thanks for anything you can do. Guest guest
Hello Ros; you are still registered under Hull address as well as City. I will remove the Hull one and see if that helps. Guest guest
Thanks ! Have left a message on your answerphone - both Sally and ine are very happy to be a part of the ESRC bid and to have their names and institutions included. Sorry I should have got back to you about this. Ros
