Guest guest
Of course I told them I was on Inspra and CPAP. They are a psychiatric facility and I was on a 72 hour = 3 days involuntary hold - but they kept me 120 hours instead = 5 days, against my will. They said they did not have: 1. Inspra 2. Tricor 3. Lipitor 4. Omacor 5. Centrum multiple vitamin 6. Konsyl 7. Aciphex 8. CPAP Machine Instead I got: 1. Cymbalta 30 mg. 2. Clonodine 0.1 mg 3. Ambilify 10 mg 4. Geodone ? mg. 5. Chloralhydrate ? mg. 6. Ativan 1 mg. 7. Zocor 5 mg. 8. Mylanta upon request for reflux I have had terrrible insomnia now for over 2 weeks. I cannnot sleep at night, just lie awake. What should I do? Please reply. > > > Hello Everyone, > > > > I was in the hospital March 16 to 21, 2008. Guest guest
Airlinerg, It looks like they were giving you a bipolar cocktail to deal with a really bad manic episode. I noticed something missing from your normal meds list...the Cymbalta that you were asking about weaning yourself from a couple of weeks ago. If you cold-turkeyed it, that was a very bad move and probably put you in the psych ward if it wasn't from a really bad bipolar mania itself. That drug is not something you want to stop using abruptly as discontinuation symptoms can be rather horrific. In any case, this is the wrong board to be discussing this...and this should not be worked out via emails with non-professionals. You really need to get this sorted out with a good psychiatrist who get your psychiatric med mix straightened out and work with your regular MD on your overall medication mix. For your own sake, please do this first thing tomorrow (if not today) before you crash into a bipolar pit. -Jeff On Sun, Mar 23, 2008 at 7:57 AM, airlinerg <airlinerg@...> wrote: > > Of course I told them I was on Inspra and CPAP. > > They are a psychiatric facility and I was on a 72 hour = 3 days > involuntary hold - but they kept me 120 hours instead = 5 days, > against my will. > > They said they did not have: > > 1. Guest guest
Dr. Grim - Of course I told them I was on Inspra and CPAP. They said that Inspra is not on their formulary, and that CPAP is not allowed in psychiatric hospitals for people on 72 hour and 14 day holds. > > > Hello Everyone, > > > > I was in the hospital March 16 to 21, 2008. Guest guest
I would find the withdrawal of CPAP to be medical malpractice.
