An Internet friend wrote me:

" That's why we grass roots individuals need to be spry. This [raw food]

diet helps in

that regard, to keep us healthy but also not fat and sassy and spoiled where

we end up dependent upon the PTB (powers that be), sickly, craving the next

enfood creation that they dole out to us. And then withhold from us

one day! In Louisiana, my friend saw an interview where she said that

there were

apples on the ground, but the people refused to eat them. "

I heard something else similar -- that was the volunteer in LA were giving

out water and 's deli sandwiches (which aren't the best food either,

but the volunteers thought of it as 4-star), and the people were

complaining, asking for cokes and hamburgers. There is a subtle and

not-so-subtle slavery in eating the " standard American (SAD) " diet.

My friend also pointed out, " People could have saved themselves by having a

gravity-fed water purifier, go up into the attics with it, sit and wait and

FAST for awhile!! And they

would have been the healthier for it afterwards!! But nooooooo, they gotta

have their ribs and fried foods and the like. "

This really strikes home with me. It is one of the reasons I need to

overcome unhealthful food addictions. And also overcome my fear of water

fasting. I have done it before, but it's been many years since I have done

it. I'm thinking I should do it soon.
