Guest guest
Hi, For my last workout at my soon to be " old " address I did Cathe's Rhythmic Step for the first time! I actually have had it for awhile, but I was " afraid " of it - so I never tried it. Boy, I really enjoyed it and wonder why i didn't try it sooner. The choreography is kind of tricky, but I was able to pick up most of it. I only really had trouble when linking the parts of the combos together. I did fine learning the individual moves and the smaller parts of the combos, but when it came time to put everything together I tended to get a bit lost. Still, I can see myself mastering this one. It is also pretty intense, but without " blast " or " intervals " - nice! Cathe teaches three combos, within those three combos she breaks each one down into two parts - and then links it together for the complete combo. There are lots of turns, also quite a few moves done on the step - which I always ahve a bit of trouble with as I have to adjust quite a bit to do some things on the step without losing my balance, over stepping, etc. I didn't make it quite through the " finale " which is the rhythmic challenge where she links all three combos together and takes it from the top at least twice on each side. I went through it once, then I gave up - my brain was tired and I was totally sweaty. I will definately give this one a try again - I can see myself getting it all eventually. I think with Cathe the more you do, the more you're able to follow her. I've been on a Cathe kick since around April. I'm probably going to disappear for the rest of the weekend as we'll be moving - also no phone or cable yet at the new house - that will be on Monday - so I'll wrap up with my weekly check in now: Sunday - Rest Monday - Cathe Cardio Kicks Tuesday - Cathe Power Hour Wed - Christi Mission Possible Thurs - Cathe High Step Challenge (Hardcore) Friday - Cathe Rhythmic Step Sat will be funcional work in moving, etc. My plan for next week is to just do what I can - I don't know how much of a mess I'm going to have with the move. I'm thinking of pulling out my T-tapp workouts and doing those - it'll be interesting to see what, if any, results they bring, but they're great for busy times as they need virtually no space and no equipment. I actually may stretch them out for two weeks as the following week I'll be on vacation. I did get good results with them after my DD was born (they're perfect for newborns as you can squeeze just parts of them into your day here and there). I may also do some yoga - if the house is a wreck, and I suspect it will be, I'll do it out on our patio with my mini player. Food this week was fair - I did well with quantities, not so great with quality. I'm sure it is the result of not having time to cook, etc. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day and weekend. I should be back on Monday!! Donna __________________________________________________
