Hi Betty! Thanks so much for this message--it's just what I needed to hear today! Heidi :) Daily Prayer -- September 3, 2003 Wednesday, September 3, 2003"You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me tolife again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. You will restore meto even greater honor and comfort me once again." (Psalm 71:20-21, NLT)Dear Lord,Even though we have suffered much hardship, you can restore us to abundant, fresh life. You are the God of all restoration. So Lord, we ask today thatyou would restore any areas within our lives and within our family that maybe desolate and fruitless. Father, cause all our efforts for our children toprosper. Show us what paths we are to take to bring greater levels of lifeand vitality to them. Lord, you are the God who is able to restore all thefunctions of our children's brains and bodies. Therefore we ask for amiracle of restoration in every one of his/her physical functions. Help usthis week to see new areas of progress and restoration of life in all thatconcerns our families. In Jesus' name,Amen

Well, Golly, now I feel uncomfortable and ostricized because of my religious

beliefs. I am truly sorry that something that helped others only added to

your pain, Alyson. That prayer did have to do with autism as a matter of

fact. It was from the Children of Destiny site which is all about autism.

Betty,

My husband and I have not always been real religious people. But

your email couldn't have come at a better time for us. We have been

dealing with a lot of behavior issues with our son lately. Just when I

thought that I was close to losing my mind...I read the prayer you sent

out. I can't explain why but it just gave me so much peace. I didn't

feel like we were battling our son's autism alone anymore. So I would

like to thank you, Betty. Yes, this list is called

"autism" but there's been many times that I've seen off

topic posts about various things. And I've never minded because we deal

with so much more then just behavior problems with our kiddos. So

please don't let one person make you feel uncomfortable or ostricized.

For what it's worth...your email is responsible for keeping me sane for

at least another week :-)
