Question about ABA Therapy

What types of kids benefit most from ABA Therapy?

I have heard great things but my husband is adament that

it is not appropriate for our son. He is 2 and was diagnosed

moderate autism and is so far largely nonverbal but does

have a couple words (cookie). My husband is very against

ABA, as he said he discussed it with my son's DT and

it is for those kids that are more profound/severe.

Can someone please help clarify? I am not sure where

to get the answer to this.
