Okay, todays workout was quite a trip. I did it with my kids, because they wouldn't leave me along to get a workout in. Since they wanted to watch me instead of one of their movies, I told them that in order to stay in the workout room they had to workout. Here is what we did:

Warm-up

I walked on the treadmill at 2mph for 10 minutes while Koti bounced on the stability ball and Bobby walked around the room while doing curls with my dog for weight. It was cute because everytime he would curl the dog up, she would lick him in the face.

Weights

Skullcrushers--Set 1, 10 reps, 16 pounds; Set 2, 8 reps, 20 pounds; Set 3, 6 reps, 30 pounds. Bobby did the same sets and reps, but with 10 pounds, 16 pounds, and 20 pounds. Koti did 3 sets of 10 with 2 pounds.

Tricep Kickbacks--Set 1, 10 reps, 8 pounds; Set 2, 8 reps, 10 pounds; Set 3, 6 reps, 15 pounds. Bobby did the same sets and reps, but with 5 pounds, 8 pounds, and 10 pounds. Koti did 3 sets of 10 with 2 pounds.

1 Arm Overhead Tricep Extensions--Same as Tricep Kickbacks

Rope Pessdowns--Drop Set--6 reps at 30 pounds, 8 reps at 20 pounds, and 20 reps at 10 pounds. Bobby went to failure on 3 sets with 15 pounds, 10 pounds, and 5 pounds. Koti went to failure on 3 sets with 10 pounds, 5 pounds, and no weight. I don't count the weight of the apparatus because I'm not sure how much it weighs, but she just lifted the apparatus on the last set.

Dips--We each did 3 sets of 10 reps with no weight.

Cardio

I walked on the treadmill at 2mph for 30 minutes while watching the kids do a video. They did Kari 's SHAKE (Something Hot About Kids Energy). The video is really for kids 7 to 12, but my 13 year old son did it too. Yeah, I hid behind the console of the treadmill so he wouldn't see me laugh..LOL. It is a high impact aerobics video, but with kids as her background exercisers and minimal choreography. My daughter got every step and did the whole thing. Bobby on the other hand has two left feet. He tried, but aerobics is really not his thing. He lasted the whole 30 minutes but he stopped and watched quite a lot before he could get the steps. At one point, she does the Macarana, but calls it Macaroni. She interacts with the kids well, joking and stuff. All in all it looked like a great workout. Maybe next time I'll do it with Koti while Bobby is otherwise occupied.

Yoga

After cardio, we cooled down with about 30 minutes of Yoga Journals Yoga for Beginners. I have this one on VHS but wish I had it on DVD so we could split up the segments better. We did the Warm-up, Standing Poses, and Folding Poses and the kids got tired so I stopped the tape. I'll probably go finish it later tonight, or later this week. It is more of an instructional video of how to do each pose, so they don't flow into each other at all. It is taught by Weldon and she does a great job of explaining for beginners, which is why I picked it to do with the kids today, because they haven't done yoga in a long time. Plus it is a nice refresher for reminding myself about the basics for when I'm teaching a yoga class. That's why I'll probably go through the rest of it tonight before going to teach a yoga class in the morning.

All in all, a good workout. The kids made it fly by because I was too busy laughing to look at the clock.
