Where should I store my 5 lb cans of seeds?

Hello to all you knowledgeable sprouters out there in Sprout Land!!

Today, my new shipment will arrive via FedEx. I used to buy the one or two pound

bags of organic sprouting seeds. I would then transfer them to my freezer

ziplock bags and store them in my freezer.

All was well, and all sprouted just fine.

But it's more economically for me to buy the 5 lb seeds because I sprout every

day and we eat them every day.

So I got 5 lbs of Fenugreek and 5 lbs of Radish Sprouts, and I did get one pound

of broccoli (because who on earth can afford 5 lbs of broccoli? )lol

So my question is this. And I posted this before but maybe no one saw it because

I never read the answer.

Do I keep the seeds in the original can it comes in, and just take out what I

want to sprout. Or do I take the 5 lbs, transfer them to my zip locks and put in

freezer.

Oh, one more IMPORTANT question as far as my brain is concerned.

When you guys buy your seeds online, do you get BULK (like 10 or 25 lb bags, or

cans, or whatevery 25 lbs comes in)?

I'm just curious. Since we all sprout, I want to save as much money as I can,

and the difference between buying one pound bags and 5 lb cans were A BIG

DIFFERENCE IN PRICE. so day I'm getting 10 lbs of seeds. My broccoli came a

few days ago.

Thanks much

Melody
