I'm not that organized. In fact, I don't even know where my pedometer is since we quit the steps challenge at work. LOL I don't count calories or know how many I burned during a given workout or anything like that. Just a guess, though, based on when I was wearing one for work, a typical Wal mart trip is a couple of miles of walking, because it's a very big Wal-Mart and my grocery list isn't organized either. I'll find myself clean on the other side of the store from something I meant to get and have to go all the way back. They keep light bulbs in the regular store part but garbage bags are in the grocery part and then I remember I need to get shampoo, which is in the regular store part ... LOL

heehee!

when i was out walking the other day, i was mad at myself for not

putting on my pedometer.

as it was i was wearing an mp3 player strapped to my upper arm, with

a long cord going from that to my headphones... also had on my heart

rate monitor watch with the band around my chest under my shirt. i

figured one more device attached to me wouldnt hurt! LOLOL

yeah, isnt that the way it always goes in those big stores? they

want to keep you going past all of the merchandise as much as

possible so perhaps you will buy something you hadnt planned on! ha!

ive got them all figured out ;) i keep my head down and eyes on

the floor when i have to go back and forth through the store like

that... ha!

Now, if I could do that my checkbook wouldn't scream for mercy every Saturday when it realizes we're in Wal-Mart again. LOL

walking in clunky snow boots for 7 hours counts as a definite workout in my opinion!

Congrats on the TV purchase! I need a new one too, the one in my workout room has lines across the screen half the time or more driving me nuts.

shopping workout

hi all - today i did the shopping workout. running around town for 7 hours... my feet and legs hurt from walking around in my clunky snow boots all day. i did not do a formal workout today because the tv in my workout room died yesterday. that is ok... i only paid $5 for it and i used it for 6 months :) so, i didnt buy any dvds today (they didnt have any good ones, anyway)... instead i had to buy a tv :) a new one this time... but just a little guy. cant wait to use it tomorrow morning... today was supposed to be cardio+sculpt day, so i will do that tomorrow instead.:*carolyn.

thanks nancy! they are that hiking snow boot style... kind of

heavy and i wear them a bit loose, hence the clunking ;) i made a

note in my workout log that i walked around all day shopping... my

legs did feel sluggish this morning, must have been from the boots.

the weather this weekend will be above freezing, so hopefully i

wont have to wear the boots out shopping anymore.

I was just writing to your other note saying I was trying freecycle first! :-) The only problem with that is a lot of the TVs offered have "issues" and I want one that works without any problems so actually good will is another good idea!! Thanks Carolyn!

hi nancy! actually i was at goodwill today and bought a 17 "

computer monitor for $6 !! the monitor on the kids computer was

going really dark (it was purchased in 1996!) and they were having a

hard time using it. i wasnt holding my breath that this

inexpensive monitor was going to work, but i plugged it in and it is

beautiful !! hopefully it will last for a long time.

:*carolyn.
