Guest guest
finally i get to post this week!! i last worked out on sunday i normally have to take mondays off, and often tuesdays, as the household demands, and on wednesday and thursday my asthma flared up so i did not want to make it worse. i guess that i had a good rest, but geeze, i really have to get my butt in gear to get shaped up for summer! anyway, today im feeling much better so i chose to do some cardio followed by stretching. i chose to do the biggest loser workout, warmup (5 mins), low intensity cardio (20 mins) and high intensity cardio (20 mins). i like trainer bob ok and the contestants who participate in the workouts, but im not too keen on the cardio workouts themselves. they contain alot of drills which i found to be boring and repetitive today i often like a floor routine that has a little bit more choreography (although nothing too choreographed....lol.... i guess that i am hard to please). i really should have chose some hi/lo aerobics today instead, but these cardio workouts did burn quite a few cals for me today, so i shouldnt complain much. i used my rebounder for the high intensity cardio workout. after that i did 'ho ala ke kino' with tony horton. i got this dvd on sale from beachbody for $6 including shipping. it took them about a month to get it to me (!!) it is only 27 mins long so it is good to add onto the end of another workout. tony starts with some stretches, then does some basic bodyweight resistance exercises and then does yoga, which he turns into a power yoga routine. after that he does a few more stretches. i liked it!! for me, today, it was not too hard and not too easy and was a good stretch. tony is not goofy at all in this workout and he does it on the beach in hawaii. the back of the case shows him doing the workout without his shirt on, but im pretty sure that he wore clothes during the actual workout. his shorts were pretty clingy in the front though, if you catch my drift 'ho ala ke kino' apparently means 'awaken the body'... this would also be a good routine to do first thing in the morning. :*carolyn. Guest guest
Hi Carolyn! Sorry to hear about your asthma flare up. I guess it is that time of year (allergies and what not) We have lots of trees flowering around here. My DD has been sounding 'husky " lately, so I wonder if it is bothering her. Anyway, good going on your workout and thanks for the reviews!
