Hi Donna,

How much does it cost? I buy alcohol from Remet in California, a source

mentioned in Mandy Aftel's book " Essence and Alchemy " . Their phone number is:

714-730-0171. I bought a gallon of 200 proof undenatured ethyl alcohol for

about

ten or eleven dollars. But when you add on the taxes and special shipping

(as it is a flammable substance) it comes to about four times that. As I recall

it was somewhere between 40 and 50 dollars total. They are very helpful and

I had no problems ordering it. I did let them know the purpose I was ordering

it. Since the greatest expense seems to be the shipping and taxes I wondered

how much the grape alcohol costs - even if it was two or three times as

expensive it would not raise the total cost so terribly much. And has anyone

who

has used both give a comparative evaluation of the difference they notice in

their perfumes?
