Guest guest
Welcome Steph, you sound like you are one determined woman and will surely succeed in your journey!!Best of luck to you!! I can't imagine TTC for so long, it has to be so upsetting Hugs..Darcy On 4/19/06, <farmgirl77@...> wrote: Hi everyone., thank you so much for the emails....not rigid at all, totallyunderstandable....it took me a day to reply to what video I like themost becasue I am not to check email at work, and that's where I checked it...so I had to wait to get home to reply to it.Anyhow, a little about me...I'm 28, just got married to DH August20, 2005, and are trying to start our family. We have been workingon it since last year (wedding night of course), but have had no luck. I do not ovulate on my own, and the fertility drugs I was onmade me gain 50lbs in 5 months, and gave me some very rotten sideeffects to boot. So, I saved up some money and joined Herbal One.I was going to join the YMCA, BUT the day I was to join, I fell (with help from the 4 legged beast dog we have) a flight of stairsand broke my foot. So, I went to herbal one. Now I can't afford tojoin the gym, BUT I buy exercise videos every time I goshopping. I'd rather do it in my house anyhow! I am currently at 268 1/2lbs, down from 280 1/2lbs 4 weeks ago. I'vealso lost 15 1/4 " overall in the same period of time I bought abike and ride it every day - not far, but as far as I can muster up to right now. Every week I seem to get further, so that's good. Ialso found some videos that I downloaded on Morpheus....the basicsof belly dancing. I plan on taking a bellydancing class with mysister, aunt, boss, sis-in-law and maybe mother-in-law also. I do not feel comfortable enough yet to take the class, but soon!My hope is to get to 170lbs....everyone at Herbal One says that ihave too much muscle mass already, and to get below 170 will beunhealthy for me....my " expected " weight is 140lbs....but I now I'll never get to that, no matter what. However, the small amount of weight I've already lost has stimulatedmy body into ovulating again, so we are really hoping to " catch " this cycle, but if not we will continue to try until it happens. I am diabetic, on insulin, have PCOS, have wet macular degeneration(blind in one eye) and a whole bag of other conditions includingarthritis in hips and knees... So, exercising has been tough, but I'm soooo motivated now that it's scary! Even DH says he's happy but worried about me because he's never seen me want somethingso bad. If it means greater chances of having a baby, with fewercomplications, I'll do it.So, I guess that's all for now. If anyone has any questions or comments, please let me know! I'm very open and honest, so just askaway.Steph in Ontario, Canada
Guest guest
Thank you Darcy Yes, I am determined. I have type 1 diabetes, so they've given me a time limit to have children - by the time I'm 30. I'm turning 29 in November, so the rush is on. No one in my family had troubles getting pregnant, so I hope it's my weight, but if not, my sister has always told me that she would have a baby for us. She knows how badly we want one of our own, and though we are up for adopting a baby, it's a long and expensive process. It's frustrating, but losing weight is like a double edged sword for me....I'll look good (finally), I'll be healthier, I may be able to have a baby, AND it gives me something besides TTC to think about and concentrate on. *hugs back* Nice to meet you. Where are you from? Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, how are you? Thank you for the welcome! I live in Stratford, what part of Ontario are you in if you don't mind my asking? I chose Austin's volume 2 metabolism boosting toning with resistance...10mins up upper body and 10 of lower body. It's fun! Herbal One is not for everyone. My boss went there for 4 weeks but couldn't do it because it wasn't right for her. For me it's the only one that would work I think. You can make an appointment with them to discuss it and try it for a few weeks, and if it's not for you, you don't waste a lot of money on it. I find the support I get from the girls there really helpful. I am quite proud of myself, though where I want to lose the weight is not where it is coming off right now. My feet, shoulders, neck, arms and legs all have gone down in inches, but not around my middle! Grrr...frustrating! Thank you! I do have a lot of things on my plate, but for the most part, I'm doing great. I have my days where I don't want to get out of bed or move, and I just cry the day away, but those are few and far between anymore. I will post as often as I can...at least weekly, if not daily! Thank you so much! Steph -- ___________________________________________________Play 100s of games for FREE! http://games.mail.com/

Guest guest
Welcome, Steph!! I really admire your dedication - with that attitude you are sure to succeed. My SIL has Type 2 Diabetes and is 39 and just had a baby in March - so yes, it is possible!! best wishes and post often! Guest guest
Thank you Donna, that gives me hope. The reason they gave the deadline is because I have kidney damage from before I knew I was diabetic. In a 3 week span, I went from feeling fine and normal, to losing 30lbs, sleeping 24/7, grouchy, peeing alot, yeast infections...you name it! Afer fasting for 12 hours, my blood sugar was at 19. Normal is 4-6. So....after eating I was probably in the 40's somewhere, which would normally put people into a coma, but not me....yippee, instead, my kidneys took a beating. They are worried about me getting pregnant, but gave me the go ahead anyhow. They will just really be watching me carefully. Anyhow, gotta get packed up and head home...have a busy night! Guest guest
Oooh, I guess the rush is on. I pray it happens for you real soon! I was thinking the same thing. Getting your mind off of TTC has only got to help the situation. I have a friend who is going on 2 yers TTC, and she is just obsessed with it. I think I would be the same way though too. I live in Wisconsin, married, have two wonderful boys - Sawyer whom is 3 1/2 and Bryar who will be ONE tomorrow..sniff..snifff... I'm kind of an exercise addict. I workout 6 days a week and for a minimum of an hour and ten minutes I would say... Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you :)DarcyOn 4/19/06, <farmgirl77@... > wrote:Thank you DarcyYes, I am determined. (just outside of rostock, in between stratford and mitchell). i lived in stratford for 15 years while i worked at national trust/scotiabank... then my dh and i moved out to the country in 1999 when i was pregnant with our first son... i gave up my job at the bank's datacentre to stay home with the kids. where do you work there in stratford? > I chose Austin's volume 2 metabolism boosting toning with > resistance...10mins up upper body and 10 of lower body. It's fun! i think that i have seen that one, but dont own it. hey, they had some denise austin workouts at giant tiger... this one might have been there, or maybe it was volume 1 (?). i always look when im there to see if they have any cheap workout dvds > Herbal One is not for everyone. i assume that it is an eating program, along with supplements? i am happy to hear that you have found something that is effective for you and that the people there are helpful to you! thats really great! > I am quite proud of myself, though where I want to lose the weight is > not where it is coming off right now. My feet, shoulders, neck, arms > and legs all have gone down in inches, but not around my middle! > Grrr...frustrating! Thank you! the tummy will go!! just keep up all of your efforts and it will happen!!! the body will release fat from wherever it seems fit and everyone seems to have spots that hang on to fat more than others, depending on your body type. for me it is the butt, thighs and lower abdomen (pear-shaped). perhaps you are what 'they' call an apple-shape, that is all. anyway, when i lose weight it seems that it starts at the top of my head and moves down my body... my face gets thinner first, then my upper body and arms, then my upper stomach and so on. i think that i will always be fighting the flab on the lower abdomen though :/ that is a really tough spot for me. but my point is that you should just keep doing what you are doing and you will get there!!! > I do have a lot of things on my plate, but for the most part, I'm doing > great. Guest guest
Thank you ..I have a lot to lose, and I'm prepared, emotionally and physically RIGHT NOW to get it done. I should have done it years ago, BUT I wasn't ready then. People don't understand how you can not be ready to lose weight. You've gotta be dedicated, and honest, and admit that you have a problem (weight, poor eating habits etc.) and come to terms with it all before you can let go of it. I myself, tend to hide behind my weight. I won't go out and dance - I didn't dance to any fast songs at my own wedding!!! Hence the bellydancing talk! I can't wait to learn how to do it and wow myself when I get up to dance. BTW, did anyone know that it's possible to bellydance to ?????? LOL I was doing it this am! Steph > > Hi Steph! Guest guest
HI Steph, you can do some exercises in the evening after work such as yoga, stretching etc... they will relax you and help you get ready for bed. Also they should releave in soreless from your new workout plan. Jen <farmgirl77@...> wrote: DarcyThose are really nice names! I can't wait to get to know everyone here either! :)I have decided today that I am going to get up at 6am every morning to do my exercises, THEN get ready for work and bike there. I work until 5pm, and 3 days a week I have to take the city bus across town to be weighed in etc, so I don't usually get in until well after 7pm, then make dinner & eat, and then get ready for bed. I know it's bad to exercise that late (so soon before bed) so getting up earlier is the only way I think it will work.As for the TTC thing...I always seem to need to focus on something or I get bored. I was bored one Friday evening, went out and bought paint and border, and painted the whole main floor different colours....including the hall/enterance, livingroom, kitchen & diningroom! lol If I had something else to concentrate on, DH would have been happier. That was before we got married. We were engaged for 2 frigging years, so I had that to obsess about for years! Then it was TTC, but now it's weightloss....so I'm hoping my reverse psychology trick will work on my reproductive system! LOLAnyhow, it's really hard to understand how my mind works with the TTC thing. I don't even know, so I don't expect anyone who hasn't had to go through it to understand. Put it this way...I am in a TTC group and in the last 4 months, 7 girls got their positives....at first it was great...it was really nice to congratulate them on it because I know how happy I would be if it was me, but by the time the 5th girl announced it, I stopped going and chatting so much because I couldn't get the "why her and not me" thing out of my head. I was getting depressed, and decided to just write my updates and see what's new a couple of times a week and concentrate on other things first. It's working (i think).Well, I hope your son has a very happy birthday, and that you don't cry too much! Are you plannning on more or is 2 enough? WE have names already though - girl (watch the first letters) Marie Margaret Albert (EMMA is what we will call her) and Bishop Albert (he'll go by Xander). That's as far as we've gotten, so we'll have to split the names if we have more than one at a time! :)Steph> > > >> > > > Hi everyone.> > > >> > > > , thank you so much for the emails....not rigid at all,> > totally> > > > understandable....it took me a day to reply to what video I like> > the> > > > most becasue I am not to check email at work, and that's where I> > > > checked it...so I had to wait to get home to reply to it.> > > >> > > > Anyhow, a little about me...I'm 28, just got married to DH> > August> > > > 20, 2005, and are trying to start our family. Guest guest
I almost always do my workouts at night because I'm SO not a morning person. I do cardio or yoga or weights or whatever I feel like that day after work, sometimes as late as 8 p.m., and I don't have any trouble going to sleep. I think it depends on your own body clock. If I worked out in the morning, I'd probably skip it most of the time because I can't face doing anything more strenuous than making coffee that early. LOL My high energy level is always in the evening. Re: New member intro - Steph Thanks Jen - I always thought it was bad to do them in the evening because it'll keep you awake! Now I can do some and not worry about it! Thanks a bunch!!!!Steph> > > > >> > > > > Hi everyone.> > > > >> > > > > , thank you so much for the emails....not rigid at all,> > > totally> > > > > understandable....it took me a day to reply to what video I > like> > > the> > > > > most becasue I am not to check email at work, and that's > where I> > > > > checked it...so I had to wait to get home to reply to it.> > > > >> > > > > Anyhow, a little about me...I'm 28, just got married to DH> > > August> > > > > 20, 2005, and are trying to start our family.
