thank you all for your help

Hi E. W.

Yes, Jack likes the juicer and I like Jack!

Boy, when I saw that glass of juice on TV, I jumped out of my chair it

was like: Give me this , right now.

so he made it easy for less than $100.00

I am happy with the juices, only one little problem

I realize when I juice how wasteful this really is.

I have to buy pounds and pounds of fruits , most of which is trashed

away.

it does not make sense.

We used to make cookies with the fiber but the veggie part is not so

good, and no time anymore and too much fiber to use it all

but I get the juice of lemons, cucumber, oranges, apples, celery,

carrots all together for breakfast

can add psyllium, for the fiber , right? and here my life is complete

.... and absurd in a way.

I was told to drink wheat grass, to clean the liver, maybe that is

when a juicer is really helpful, to be able to absorb nutrients you

could not digest in its entire form.

I am not sure about buying yet another juicer, it is getting crowded

on the kitchen counter, no kidding!

today starting alfalfa sprouts, will see..

I sprout lots of beans, from all sorts of lentils to adzuki, eat them

raw and whole , roots and all in the salad. There is a sweetness to it

and I get no protestation from my husband, so it is a go.

But I am happy to learn otherwise, the ultimate purpose being to

reach for better health

I have a friend that has the machine and he doesn't mind the waste

because he has a compost pile. You could always bury the waste in your

flower garden. That is called 'trench composting'.

Diane thanks a billion

you make me think about buying the right equipment after all.

I do need to detox seriously because of treatments I do.

, I have known of Kombucha for a long time and we even did it

in a trip around the Western states for 2 months in 1997 from the back

of our van, carrying 24 little bottles.

that was a riot. Every time we would go visit someone, we rush to

their kitchen, dig the pots and make our tea.

I guess we were young an crazy! what fun that was!

My problem now is I am out of the US from late May to September, so

everything dies when I am away. I hate that.

I can get a mother for free from friends, ( who have kept my mother

alive all this time) but the house is cold here in Winter, and it

takes quite a bit of space and time

So I have chosen to sprout and juice with the time, space and $$

available.

But thank you, I agree all hearteadly with you

I used to make vinegar with Kumbucha, the best vinegar ever.

interesting, I bought wheat grass planted in a pot, it seems to grow

back. Is that possible?

cheers to you all fabulous people

> I have the Jack LaLane too and it does fine for stuff like carrots,

apples, broccoli, the harder fruits and vegetables. But it is not

designed for leafy stuff like wheat grass or even lettuces, chard,

etc. I have used it for cabbage, but there was some waste. That ended

up in the soup pot anyway, so I guess there was not waste.

>

> I took the plunge and bought a HealthyJuicer, which is designed for

wheat grass. I have been using a borrowed stainless steel one, the

Hurricane, and it does fine, but costs about $170 and the lady I

borrowed it from is leaving the area soon. The HJ was about 44 plus 10

shipping. raved about it.

>

> Speaking of getting the last drop of wheat grass juice, I was

putting it thru twice until I realized it was an awfully hard on the

juicer and hard on my arm. So I just put those snakey green things

that come out of the end of juice in my hand and squeezed. Boy, there

was a lot of juice that came out!

>

> I am not sure about the reports on whether it is healthy or not for

the liver. I have been taking 1 oz , 2 times a day mixed with a 10oz

glass of water and followed up with more water in-between. Straight

wheat grass juice was way too potent for me. Made me dizzy and giddy,

so I diluted it. The lady at 1-800 My Juicer said I needed to drink

more water with it, because it would start cleaning out toxins and

that is why I was feeling that way.

>

> Oddly enough, my weight has gone down and my skin is much clearer,

cleaner. I just noticed it today and wondered what I was doing. The

skin on my old arms had looked toxic for a long time and I did not

want to do a big cleanse thing. Too lazy I suppose. Looks like the

wheat grass juice must be doing the cleaning job. I go by how

something feels and I have noticed I have had a lot more energy since

I started to drink this stuff.

>

> I used to be allergic to wheat, but I treated my self with EFT by

Craig and TAT by Tapas Fleming and am no longer allergic to wheat

products. So I am free to continue with the wheat grass. Oh goody. It

is rather tasty.
