Guest guest
a, I don't think it's so much that they don't believe you as they don't want to believe you because it causes a wrinkle in their day! Is there any chance you could get a " chain of custody " verification going with the teacher or an aide regarding 's stuff? For instance, could the aide or teacher call you if it doesn't arrive with him? Then you could contact the bus company right away and find out what has happened. I know I have put 's name (in permanent laundry marker) all over his stuff in places where a kid might not think to look so that we can identify it. We have lost an array of things over the years....just last year we lost an extra set of clothes (in case of toileting accidents) that I had just purchased. rides a Spec. Ed. bus and there aren't that many kids on it. They shouldn't have been that hard to trace.... if they ended up going home with some kid, that kid's parent sure knew it wasn't his..but they never resurfaced! Continued communication with the school/transportation staff is all I can think of. Good Luck! Terry
Guest guest
a, Check at the school and the transportation office, go there don't call. They have a bin with lost stuff. Hope it is there. If rides a regular ed bus he should be in the first seat where the driver can keep a better eye on him. But that is no guarentee. Garry says " What do parents want drivers to do--watch the road or the kids? " Not a good answer in my book but you could ride the bus 1 day(with advance permission) to see what really happens. & Garry, parents of (10 ds), (9 ds), JJ (7 ds/autism/celiac), (6 ds/ADHD/Celiac), and Esther (4 ds). Guest guest
, Great advice . I also dealt with this issue . Not on the missing back- pack . But on videos & toys , that he had permission to carry on board . Yep ! No one knew about it , it was not so much of the items , it was just the safety and trust , in my situation . Most of the bus aide did not last long . Sorry , don't want to point fingers , but it just left me wondering . a , I'm pretty sure his second back-pack will not be missing , as they will make sure he'll have it with him from school to home or vice versa , only and hoping there were no other kid involved . Plus the school and transportation are aware of you keeping track . I dealt with my neighbors kid that I watch in the mornings whenever he got off the bus with no jacket when it was cold weather season . Not that it really gets cold here , but it had stopped . Yes, its awful when your child can not explain what happen ? Thats what irritates me the most . Luck with this issue . There is nothing crueler on this Earth than a child. If that is what happened, that is sad indeed. I never understood how children can be so, so innocent, and then the next minute be so, so cruel. I hope the pack is found and that you find some way to teach to protect himself and his belongings. Maybe some type of buzzer device to let him know? Guest guest
thanks but I did talk personally with the bus driver and no dark blue back pack was found on her bus, and they dont have it at bus depo either. Great try though, I f this problem continues i will definately take a ride on the bus, but the reg kids will act accordingly i think, so will not notice anything unusual, im afraid. shawna >From: " Scherbert " <Scherb@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: back pack >Date: Mon, 27 Aug 2001 08:39:11 -0800 > >a, >Check at the school and the transportation office, go there don't call. >They have a bin with lost stuff. Guest guest
Hi a Sorry to hear about the backpack!! had 2 coats mysteriously disappear last year! Amazing how that happens. When gets on the bus, he could hand his backpack to the bus driver and when he reaches school the bus driver should then give the backpack to him before he exits the bus. You and the bus driver can have an agreement beforehand, and that will also make the driver aware of 's belongings without having to keep an eye on it while he/she is driving!! Just a thought!! Good Luck, Kathy

Guest guest
oh no, ! I'm sorry to hear about your back. I hope it feels better soon. I've done things like that to myself where I can't figure out what it was that caused the injury/pain. It is awful b/c you don't know what to avoid in the future. Feel better soon!
