Guest guest
Dear Listers, please sorry for the cross posting . My name is Ornella and I am the administrator of www.genitoricontroautismo.com , an Italian portal for autism spectrum disorders and parents . I am writing on behalf of one of our listers. His son , 5 yo , is autistic with epilepsy. He is not verbal . He would like to do Early Intervention ABA , but the weekly epileptic attacks make the child tired and often he needs to sleep a lot after the attacks. The child is being treated by the Pfeiffer Centr Chicago .The parents have noted that there is a correlation between the attacks and diet and stress. We wold like to know if intensive ABA is the right thing for a child with these problems or if there is another option . How far can we push the ABA programme ? Is intensive ABA too stressful? Does anyone have experience of a similar situation ? Thanks in advance Ornella
