Hi ,

It has taken me a while to answer you, but your ideas fit in with

the current thread on how scents are described.

I agree - you can 'stereotype' a scent in your mind then get a new

perspective on it via the game you describe, or just in going back to

it at a later time - sometimes I notice components or aspects of the

scent that I hadn't before - a really nice surprise.

A good idea is also to keep your own fragrance bible. I have my own

bible where I discribe every oil; I discribe the smell, what kind of

color comes in my mind, what kind of feeling I get from it, the

stayingpower but also what it smells like in combination with other

oils, I think that's also important.

I also put the oils in groups like the green, fruity, flowery ones etc.

It's so funny that everyone smell diferent components in the oils.

When I read arctanders discription I sometimes have to disagree and

find the smell really different.
