Donna,

Thanks for the concern, but I'm fine, or at least I will be when they find an antibiotic that I'm not allergic to. I finally bit the bullet and went to the dentist for my smile makeover. I guess I should explain. When I was a teenager, I got the dentist who was a pervert and knocked his young female patients out to do root canals, etc. He's now some guys girlfriend in jail, but I was left with an extreme fear of the dentist. Combined with a bad family dental history (I'm the only person so far in my family to make it past 32 without dentures.), my teeth were severly neglected. One of my goals for this year was to get past my fear and go get one of those extreme makeovers for my mouth. It didn't turn out to be as extreme as I wanted, but Monday, I went in for what I could afford to have them do. With my husband holding my hand while they knocked me out, they did 2 root canals, 3 crowns, and two extractions with bone grafts so I can have implants later.

Now I'm ticked because he didn't do one of the crowns he was suppose to do (and that I paid for) so I'm having to fight with him. Lets just say I terminated our business arrangement for religious differences. He thinks he's God and I disagree. After the problems I've had with stitches not staying in and having to go to my primary care physician today because of an allergic reaction to the antibiotic he put me on, I'm contacting an malpractice attorney. This jerk gave me an antibiotic that is in the same family as penecillin and eurthromiacin (sorry my spelling sucks!) knowing that I'm allergic to both, plus he did a tooth I didn't agree too and didn't do a tooth that was the most important one to me, and I couldn't do anything about it because I was out at the time. Thankfully, my doctor was able to get me on the right stuff and was able to combat the allergic reaction (I was so swollen up from it, I couldn't open my eyes this morning.) so I should be okay now. Not sure I'll ever go back for that last tooth to get a crown though. I'll just suffer through the filling not quite matching my tooth. I jokingly told my husband I'm becoming a hippy and tie-dying my teeth. LOL Hey, gotta laugh so I don't cry, although both hurt right now. So I'm just not going to think about it...I'm going to take more darvocet. ;)

I'm glad you're okay, Tonya! It is amazing how many

things doctors/dentists, etc. do not pay attention to.

My friend just told me about her nightmare w/

pre-eclampsia when she was pregnant. The nurse that

she saw knew she had it, but the doctor totally

ignored the nurse and told her she was fine - well,

she almost died!! Hmm... I, unfortunately, think

there are a few doctors out there who think they are

God.

Hang in there!

Donna

P.S. I'll get over to your website as soon as I can!

Thanks Donna! I'm fine now...just really sore. I'm going to a different dentist next week to have more x-rays and make sure he actually fixed the stuff he supposedly did. I'm having a lot of pain and some things trying to come out from where one of the bone grafts were done, so I'm thinking he screwed something up. I won't say what I think of him, just know that I'm sueing him so he can't play God with anyone else. I don't like having my life risked because he is too stupid to look at my allergies before prescribing medicine.
