Guest guest
Hi! I was on no-mail all weekend, so I'm just getting back to checking in. Here's what I did: Saturday - Tari Rose's Hard Body Yoga, before leaving for the weekend. I was actually kind of nauseous and dizzy Sat morning, I think I had a mild case of the stomach flu - so this wasn't the best choice for the day as being inverted really didn't help the dizziness/nausea. I know it is a good workout, I'll just have to do it another time when I'm feeling better. I still had a nice pleasant soreness in my hamstrings and abs from it. The workout is chaptered and I'm thinking of adding the abs on to other workouts for a different kind of ab challenge. I wish there were chapters for all of the other segments - I believe the chapters are warm-up, " body work " (which is the bulk of the workout), abs and stretch. The body work could have easily been chaptered as it is broken into very distinct segments. Basically, this workout is traditional yoga postures but done " fitness " style with repetitions to build strength by moving through the pose continuously and/or holding a static position - for those who have Kest's weight loss workout, it is similar in style, except 's is more " meditative " and sort of has a better flow. This one can be choppy as you may finish a series on the floor, and the next one will start standing w/ no " transition " between the moves. I believe the typical pattern is to move through at " tempo " twice (I believe this is a 5 count) then to move through slowly at a 10 count for one set. Sunday - rest (travel) Monday - Gin 's Aerostep (Had Simply Strong planned, but I felt like doing something a bit easier intensity-wise) Today - Gin 's Simply Strong. I love this one! I've probably commented on it before - but it is a nice little functional fitness workout. It moves slowly so you can concentrate on form. Often you are working multiple muscle groups at one time and challenging your balance and coordination. The different " twist " on the standard moves makes it hard to go super heavy, so I went down a bit in weight, but still got a good workout. It is about an hour long. My clean eating sort of fell apart when we were away. I did well on Sat mostly b/c I felt ill. Sunday and Monday I felt better so I ate more and some junk, too. But today is another day! I don't think I checked in from last week, so I'll do that now, too: Sunday 2/12 - Tamilee Webb 30 Min Stretch Monday 2/13 - Kathy Power Step & Part of Stretch Max on the Ball (interrputed by DD's fall!) Tues 2/14 - KS Project:You Upper & Lower and Stretch Max on the Ball (whole thing) Wed - 2/15 - KS Fat Burning Breakthru (first segment and warm-up) KS Timesever Cardio (both, plus the stretch) Thurs 2/16 - KS Project:You Circuit & Stretch Max (mat work) Friday 2/17 - KS Functionally Fit Peak Fat Burning, 10 Min. Sol Carb Burner (kickbox) and 10 Min Sol. Yoga (abs and relaxation) Sat 2/18 - Tari Rose - Hard Body Yoga I think I may have to re-think my workout time - my DD is not napping anymore - I have hopes for today since she is home and everything is " normal " but she hasn't napped since last Thursday. Good news is, she is going to bed super early - like before 7, bad news is, she is also getting up super early. If I want to finish my workouts w/out interruptions I think I'm going to have to get up about 20 min. earlier. Not being a morning person, having my alarm go off at 4:50 is less than pleasant already! I usually coax myself up sometime after 5 and I'm usually working out by 5:30, I think I need to be able to start my workout at 5:00 so I can be finished by 6:00 or 6:15 - which is about the time she has been getting up. I hate interruptions!! Today she " helped " me finish up w/ Gin. If she does consistently go to bed by 7 I might think about doing my workouts in the evenings again. I guess I'll play it by ear and see how things go. I'm just afraid that if I let it go until evenings, there is more time for me to get caught up in other things and end up missing my workout time. Anyway, hope everyone has a good day. Back to the " grind " today. Donna __________________________________________________
