Guest guest
Is this web page suggesting that Baking Soda may be used to counter acidic PH? http://www.drlark.com/nc/alkaline_balance_test.asp [Yes, this is essentially the same advice I was offering: to take an alka-seltzer with meals to keep one's diet alkaline. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is the active ingredient in alka-selzter. Sodium bicarbonate is probably not the best means, however. Most people consume too much sodium already. Also alka-seltzer contains aspirin and citric acid both of which need to be considered. The best means I've seen is potassium bicarbonate. Most people need more potassium. Dr. Maher posted a link to an interesting supplement that contains potassium bicarbonate. -gts] Also, the following page was provided to show the PH for various foods. http://www.drlark.com/nc/alkaline_balance_ph.asp [Thanks. -gts]
