Guest guest
In the past 24 hours I have tried to send this email six times. (this is copied from try seven, so technically what you are reading now is number eight. I sure hope they don't all come crashing in at one time in the future!) None have made it through (as of yet). But oddly, the " test " email I just sent, made it through immediately. So, here we go, one last try, please forgive me if the others do eventually make it through (yep, this is one last try after my one last try! lol): Yes, I thought it had yeast in Ezekiel bread. I like the Ezekiel cinnamon raisin english muffins. But, my fav is Manna Bread (different company). Their ingredients: sprouted wheat, carrots, raisins. That's it. It tastes just like carrot cake. Yum. Today, I made my first batch of Essene bread. (oddly enough, my " second batch " email did indeed make it through!) I don't get the Manna Bread often, because it is 6.50 a loaf, and the loaf is rather small. Been thinking it would be nice to have it made here at home. All this talk got me into doing it! I don't have a dehydrator, but I do have a 1.5 qt crock pot. I don't have a bowl small enough to fit into it, so I just placed the loaf right on the bottom of the crock. I rolled the loaf in sesame seeds to keep from sticking. I didn't have carrot, so I just tossed in some cinnamon with the raisins. I used the low setting, and it sat for 7 hours. Maybe a bit too long as it was hard on the outside, but I wasn't home, so...probably next time I will take it out sooner. I just now had some (still warm), and it is *wonderful*! And oh so easy! I have rye (and more wheat) on the way, and plan on using that for a batch when it gets here. I've never had it with rye, but think it will be fun to try. :~) Thia On Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 5:58 PM, Sparrow R <sparrowrose@...> wrote: On 1/8/09, Rushing <lindas_organic_garden@...> wrote: > > Ezekiel 4:9 Bread > > Fresh Yeast That would explain why their bread is " fluffier " than mine. I do like the simplicity and density of mine, though. Mine is more like " peasant bread " than Ezekiel bread. Sparrow -- ¤º
