Sparrow,

Before I got Teflex sheets for my dehydrator, I used cooking

parchment to spread out flax crackers and other such concoctions.

Worked great, and if I got things dry enough and was careful, I could

remove them without tearing/breaking the (by now brittle) paper and

reuse it.

I make a raw buckwheat cereal in the same way, that the kids enjoy.

Used to work OK on the parchment paper (which can be purchased

unbleached, if you check around), but it is a bit easier on Teflex.

Maple buckwheat crispies

2 cups buckwheat (the kind that's been mechanically hulled to take off

the black outer coating), soaked 1 hour. (Sometimes I get busy and end

up soaking it much longer.)

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

3/4 cup maple syrup (these two items are not technically raw, but it

makes it taste good!)

2 tsp. salt

1 tsp cinnamon

2 packets stevia (I omit)

Blend in processor, spread on dehydrator sheets, dry 12-18 hours.

I got this from a book called " Raw Food, Real World. "

PS I'd love to see the sprouted lentil recipe
