Guest guest
Your logic is backwards again, Greg, but I'm not going to bother too much with this as I more or less stopped participating on this AAR mailing list long ago. I only cross-post here occasionally. I think your concerns about niacin are petty and trivial and so I won't bother to address them. I am concerned mainly with your misleading message to people to avoid low-carb ketogenic diets based on your strange belief that such diets cause them to fall out of that magical kingdom in your imagination that you call " The GH Friendly Zone " . I think your so-called GH Friendly Zone must be somewhere inside The Twilight Zone because evidently you fail completely to realize that overweight people who contemplate ketogenic diets are *already* disadvantaged with regard to GH release. You fail to recognize that they *already* have high levels of FFA in their blood. You fail to recognize that they *already* suffer from low GH release. You fail to recognize that they *already* suffer from the same condition you hope to help them avoid! They go into ketosis in order to lose weight and *escape* that condition, Greg. And for many or most people the strategy works *wonderfully*. When they reach their target weight they start adding back more fruits and vegetables and thus go out of ketosis and then as a consequence of being slim and healthy they produce more GH! So then ketogenic diets are not a part of their problem, Greg. On the contrary, ketogenic diets are an important part of their *SOLUTION*. Ketosis is not, as you suggest, something to be avoided by overweight dieters who seek higher GH and IGF-1. In reality, THE EXACT OPPOSITE IS TRUE. But I have the neither the time nor the energy to argue in any more detail with you on this AAR mailing list. I know from the past that people here prefer little or no sharp disagreement between subscribers and I know that many people here for some strange reason do not seem to mind being spoon-fed your latest bogus ad-hoc theories as gospel. -gts www.optexinc.com To subscribe to the longevity list, send a blank email to longevity-subscribeegroups Re: [AntiAgingResearch] Re: Niacin > From: Greg <gowatson@...> > > gts wrote: > > > > I notice that Greg has been stirring up a lot of controversy lately > > on various different mailing lists about niacin, ketosis, FFA and GH.
