Guest guest Posted January 27, 2006 Report Share Posted January 27, 2006 today i put in denise austin's new walking workout -- i wanted to do one 15 min section of it as a warmup before sculpting. so i chose segment 2 and started, but i just could not stand it and ended up taking the dvd out after about 4 mins...LOL so in went yoga booty ballet sculpt and i guess that it is just my mood today but i didnt really like this one much either!! LOL the first half of the workout is high rep/light weight/fast paced strength training exercises, lower body combined with upper body. frankly i was getting tired of all of the reps (yawn!) and had to use ridiculously light weights in order to keep the pace, so my upper body didnt get anything out of it... my inner thighs and quads are a bit sore though from the multitude of squats and plie squats. ah well, the workout didnt last long and before i knew it we were into the second half of the workout which was a yoga practice. i went along with it for about 10 mins before i realized that i was just not very interested in/didnt have the patience for their brand of yoga today. so despite putting in 45 mins this morning, and burning a couple of hundred calories, i didnt feel like i had much of a workout. so i cued up a couple of stability ball workouts to do later... i hope that i can get the motivation to go back into my workout room and do them tonight. i really think that i need to do some FUN cardio... not necessarily easy... just FUN! maybe i will do christie taylor's 'mission possible' tomorrow... ive done it once and thought that it was a good one, so it might fit the bill for tomorrow. :*carolyn.
