Guest guest
Marty, did I read that right? Your IGF-1 is only 94 after two months on 1.5 iu/day GH? I think something isn't right if that's the case. -gts Blood Results (Marty) > For who may be interested, I have for 2 months been back on 1.5 IU of > Serostem (gh) per day, .5ml Testosterone cream, 50 mg DHEA. Guest guest
I'm afraid it's correct. When I was taking 1 iu of Norditropin per day last year, my igf-1 was only 115 after 1 month.. I wonder if there could be something in the body that destroys it?? The only other thing could be that the 6 mg Serostem vials are made to take in a few days. I, at 1.5 iu, go about 12 days. I do substitute bacteriostatic water in place of the steryl water, but I also have heard a rumer that the Serostem lacts a Cresol preservative that other GH products include for prolonged refrigerated use..... I wish I had a customer service representitives phone number that would give me the straight scoop from Serono Laboratories. Thanks for your concern, Marty Re: Blood Results (Marty) >Marty, did I read that right? Guest guest
Marty, > I wonder if there could be > something in the body that destroys it?? Perhaps, but assuming it is a problem with your biology and not the growth hormone then my guess would be that your liver is not producing enough IGF-1 in response to the GH. It could be that your liver does not have enough receptors for GH, or the receptors are damaged in some way, or your liver could be compromised for other reasons. I don't remember if you said you have a doctor working with you on this but I would be curious to know what he or she might have to say about it. It certainly doesn't seem to me that you're getting your money's worth out of the GH. > The only other thing could be that > the 6 mg Serostem vials are made to take in a few days. I think you should be okay with the bacteriostatic water and 12 days. Bacteriostatic water is a better preservative than plain sterile water, which has no preservatives, and as far as I know the cresol in the Humatrope brand is just a type of alchohol similar to the benzyl alchohol in ordinary bacteriostatic water. > I wish I had a customer service representitives phone number that > would give me the straight scoop from Serono Laboratories. Guest guest
Marty, Have you checked your thyroid levels? If TSH is highish and T4 lowish, this may be the culprit in keeping your IGF-1 low. You also need to make sure your liver is working well as it makes the IGF-1. If both of these check out you need to check for either anti-hGH or anti-IGF-1 antibodies. Guest guest
Marty, How do you feel after being on hgh. Sometimes the test may not tell the full story as we have seen such a wide range on Ellis' reading. Dale MARTY wrote: I'm afraid it's correct. Guest guest
I feel better, My baseline is only like 60 ng/ml. There is still alot of room for improvement. I look great. I am 170# naked @ 5' 8 " tall, and totally muscular with 5% body fat. I'm ripped. But I can tell the IGF-1 is low by my joints and back and neck pain. Geez Marty you're scaring me! That's so low it would make most professional body-builders jealous. Personally I think it is probably too low to be healthy. I would eat a big apple pie for dinner tonight if my BF was so low... with lots and lots of vanilla ice cream... -gts
Guest guest
Marty, Are you keeping your meds in the fridge? Most things age less in the fridge including most medicines at a rate of up to ten or more times less! Hope you were. --Glenn MARTY wrote: > I'm afraid it's correct.
