Gorden,

If you remember a while back I shared that my Endocrinologist would not

treat on (62 IGF-1) alone.. She administered a pituatary stimulation test

using L-Dopa orally and checked direct GH levels (blood draw) every 1/2 hour

after that for a few hours.. I believe the minimum standard after

stimulation had to be >5.0 to be normal.. Mine came back <0.5 every time,

which means, a non measurable amount. The HMO refused to treat because that

same day my IGF-1 level had crept back over 90, which by there standards was

exceptible. Un-believable, Marty

*Does anyone else have official info on what criteria actually qualifies

for GH defficiency????
