I don't think the school will do much as far as an eval until you get

a diagnosis from a neurologist. I am guessing here, but I bet they

will stall you until then, and even beyond that, due to the high

demand for services and because without a diagnosis they won't know

exactly what approach to take. My team was fully aware of my son's

PDD diagnosis and pretended it didn't matter until after seveal

months of going to school everyday, they reported that he refused to

interact with anyone and was fixated on spinning objects endlessly.

Even then, I had to beg, and I mean beg for an eval from the school

for something like 4 to 6 months. He is doing so much better now

that the appropriate interventions are ongoing.

After you get an eval from a pediatric neurologist, which can take 6

to 8 months depending on where you live, also due to heavy demand,

then you need to start calling school supervisors and department

heads. I know your tired. Tired is my middle name. Someone said

something today about " sex " where I work. I laughed and said " who

cares about sex, sex is highly overated. Nothing is more important

than sleep far as I was concerned. " Just sign me, " tired and sexless "
