I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. They have been " working " for over 2 weeks and it seems like the germination rate is very low. At least 2/3 of the seeds have not sprouted and it doesn't appear that what has sprouted will be usable because of all the unsprouted seeds around them. Never had this happen before with seeds from these folks. Just curious is anyone can shed some light on this. Thanks, ita
Guest guest
ita, I just started yesterday my first crop of onion sprouts, so I will let you know how it goes. So far I have had great results (luck?) with Clover, Broccoli, Long life, French garden, Russian mix, Beanie's mix, Peas. ...for the last 5 months, Yesterday I have started Onion, Radish, Fenugreek, Mustard. ~San Francisco Bay Area > > Just doing my first batch of onion sprouts. Guest guest
On my 6th day with Onion sprouts (of 10-15 days) ~ Noticing lots of greening today, longest are over 1 " , and yet lots of others are just starting and have a tiny shoot or white dot on them. There is a small amount of ungerminated ones, I will estimate what percent after a few more days. These sprouts have a great aroma ! My new favorite: Radish sprouts ~ Lots of character, they grow big, fast, and colorful, You can easily tell the Daikon from the China rose in the Radish mix. ~San Francisco Bay Area > > > > Just doing my first batch of onion sprouts.
